SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the Central Lions Swim Team! The swim team had a great meet in Calhoun this past weekend by finishing in 11 out of 26 teams. The ladies got things started in the first event by setting a new school record in the 200 yard medley relay. Amelia Farmer, Karlie Benefield, Jaycie Benefield and Hannah Prince knocked almost 2 seconds of the previous record. These same four Ladies also had a strong showing in the 200 yard Free Relay! Addi Lyle, Mary Beth Griffin, Hannah Prince and Jaycie Benefield all set new personal marks in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle. Faith Bennett dropped time in the 100 yard freestyle, Amelia Farmer improve her 200 yard free time and Karlie  Benefield destroyed her 100 yard breaststroke time. The guys also had a strong day even without their relays. Blaise Bergiel set a new personal record in the 100 yard breaststroke and Bryce Mathis had a new best in the 200 yard IM and the 100 yard backstroke!
