The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Attention Students: Please remove hoods and headgear inside the classroom, gym and hallways. Beat headphones are not allowed in school, only earbuds.

Attention Students: TODAY is the last day to sign up for the ASVAB. See Ms. Dixon in the guidance office to sign-up for the FREE test.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Central High School Wrestling Team for staying alive in the state tournament! The Lions face-off against Woodward Academy at 12:30 p.m. today! Good luck Lions!


Diploma Name Verification Letters were distributed during senior advisement yesterday.  If you did not receive your letter, please stop by the Guidance Office today to pick it up. The letter requires a parent signature and is due no later than Tuesday, January 16; the day we return from Martin Luther King holiday.

Sadie Hawkins Dance tickets are on sale during all lunches for $15 each. There is a bonfire, indoor heater, delicious food, and great music planned for the dance! Buy your ticket today! The Sadie Hawkins Dance theme is Denim to Diamonds; wear your sparkles or your blue jeans!

Prom forms are available in the front office or from Ms. Trumble or Ms. Wooten. Prom fees increase to $180 on Tuesday when we return from the holiday weekend. Pay your fees today and save!


Boys soccer tryouts begin Tuesday, January 16 after school. Be sure your physical is on file in the nurse’s office. See Coach Townson if you have questions.

AP Exam registration is open today through February 19; please see the QR codes posted around campus, on Facebook, the Guidance Office webpage or Ms. Zerr for the link to register. All Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be registered for online at

Track and Field Season for both boys and girls begins January 16 right after school on the track. If you are interested please show up and in your workout attire! See Coach Harvey with questions.

Central High School will host a blood drive on Thursday, January 25 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. See Ms. Startup for more information.

Key Club is selling pancake breakfast tickets $7 each. The breakfast will be held on February 10, 17, and 24 Carroll County Ag Center.
