The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s super big shout out goes to the Central Lion Competition Cheerleaders for coming in 6th in the state this past weekend. Congratulations to our hardworking girls and coaches.

Our second shout out goes to the the Wrestling Team. Varsity went 4-0 and finished 3rd at the Alexander Duals. Congratulations to Tyler Robison, Ethan Askin, and Rawley Reese on picking up their first varsity wins. And a big shout out to Sam Conerly and J.C. Higgins who went undefeated. Finally, to Tyler Huff, C.J. Shadinger, and Pierce Simmons for outstanding performances. Congratulations to the JV team for coming in 2nd! Great job teams!!

Our third shout out goes to Andrew Stewart for being named the Carroll County applicant for the 2018 United States Senate Youth Program. Congratulations Andrew!!

Students, don't forget to cast your Teacher Superlative vote. Look for QR codes and links on the 400 hall.

The Cans for Cows Food Drive starts today, November 13, and runs through December 8. You can bring in any non-perishable food items and drop off in the Agriculture Department rooms of Ms. Williford or Mrs. Dysart or any of the FBLA teacher rooms of Mrs. Hall or Mr. Vick.

Attention  juniors and seniors, if you are interested in Work-Based Learning, which is now called Career Connections, complete an application in the counselor's office. Career Connection applications are due December 1.

Key Club will meet in room 626 Wednesday, November 15 at 3:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 16 at 7:50 a.m. All Key Club members are required to attend one of these meetings.

Students, don’t forget to purchase your yearbook, pay junior dues for prom, and pay senior dues for graduation. Time is ticking away and fees will increase soon!! Don’t delay!!!

AFTER SCHOOL

Basketball scrimmages against Ranburne tomorrow in the Walker Gym at 6:00 p.m. Come out and support our Central Lions!!

Our AFJROTC will be hosting a spirit night at American Pie tomorrow from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Eat pizza before and after the basketball game and support our hardworking Cadets!

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, we are one community, one family, and one pride. Keep it rolling and keep it clean!
