The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Today’s shout out goes to Jarrod Jackson for being named 2017 Wendy’s Heisman High School Scholarship School Winner. Jarrod was nominated as a junior for this honor. Wendy’s selects school level and each winner receives a letter for their letterman jackets. Congratulations Jarrod! Stop by the Media Center for a picture this week.

Our second big shout out goes to Loralie Cowart for advancing to the Drive, Chip, and Putt finals which will  be held on Masters Sunday at Augusta National in April. Great job and good luck Loralie!

Our third shout out goes to the Central JV Lions football team. The Lions were down 33-0 at Bremen and stormed back in the 2nd half to win the game 34-33. The Lions led with two touchdown passes by Beau Ivy to Omari Glenn and Denvel Echols. And on the ground 3 touchdowns by Narada Levett, Denvel Echols, and Abrin Daniel brought home the win. The defense was led by D.J. Clayton with an interception and a fumble recovery and Dylan Carrol's last minute interception sealed the deal! This puts the Lions at 5-1 on the season. Great job men!
