The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Any student that signed up to take the Accuplacer with West Georgia Technical College should report to the Media Center Computer Lab at this time.


Today’s big shout out goes the Lady Lions Softball Team as they take on Marist tonight! Good luck! Knock ‘em out!!


Students that are interested in trying out for the 2018 boys and girls Tennis Teams can sign-up outside Mrs. Startup’s office this week.

Attention NHS members, there will be two meetings TOMORROW. One meeting in the morning at 8:00 a.m. and one at 3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Fountain's room 733. Please make plans to attend one of these meetings.

The FFA will host their October meeting after school until 4:30 p.m. in the Ag Department. We will be participating in our road clean-up. We need everyone’s help to keep Carroll beautiful!

Attention FBLA Members. If you missed this morning’s meeting, please plan to attend at 3:30 p.m. in Ms. Hall’s room 607.

Central High School boys basketball tryouts will be held on Monday, October 30 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Walker gym. Players must have updated physicals to tryout.

If you are interested in study abroad, please see Ms. Kuzy Jenkins in room 144 for information about the upcoming trip to Italy and Greece. There will be an informational meeting that a parent must attend if you are interested on Wednesday, October 25 at 5:30 p.m. in room 144.


Hey, students, did your parents name you William, but call you Billy? Is your name Andrew, but do your friends call you Drew? Is your first name is Eugenia, but you go by your middle name Grace? If you are like Billy, Drew, and Grace, then let the yearbook staff know what your name preference is for the yearbook! QR codes are posted outside the English and math teachers' doors.

All Central High School students will be taking an assessment called YouScience on October 17 and 18 in their science classes. For any student who does not have a science class, please check the rosters posted outside the cafeteria, in the bottom of the 3-story building, or at the concession window in Walker Gym to see your assigned period and location.

Students, are you interested in writing or art? Do you like drawing? Do you like writing short stories or longer fiction pieces? How about poetry or songs? Maybe even something not listed or you're creative and just don’t know where to start? Stop by Ms. Williams's room (727) on October 18 at 7:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. and ask about joining the Authors and Artists Club: a relatively new club interested in helping you improve your creative ability or encourage those who don’t know where to start.

Attention students: Central High School will be offering an SAT prep class beginning this week. Tuesday and Thursday, 7:25 a.m., math study, in Ms. Cole's room 408, and Wednesday, 3:40 p.m., verbal study, in Mrs. Trumble's room 633.

Seniors are invited to join the Guidance Office Google Classroom to access information about college visits, scholarships, transcripts, and more.  The access code is:  olbpbuz

Softball plays in the second round of state playoffs today in Atlanta at Marist. Make plans to carpool and support our Lady Lions!
