The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Attention Male Homecoming Cheerleaders: Uniforms need to be return Mrs. Cowart in room 735 no later than Thursday!

Juniors, dues are $100 and will increase October 12.  You may pay Ms. Eady, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Trumble.


Today’s big shout out goes to Colin Jenkins the football Academic Player of the Week and Jonathan Horsley the Star Teacher of the Week. Stop by the Media Center to pick up your tee shirt and have your picture taken. Congratulations!!

Our second big shout out goes to the Central High School chorus for presenting a fantastic concert at the Performing Arts Center last night. Congratulations to Zoe Olinger and Cedric Howard-Lewis for performing wonderful solos and to Ms. Ruthie Phillips for bringing out the best in our students. Great job chorus!!


Hey, students, did your parents name you William, but call you Billy? Is your name Andrew, but do your friends call you Drew? Is your first name is Eugenia, but you go by your middle name Grace? If you are like Billy, Drew, and Grace, then let the yearbook staff know what your name preference is for the yearbook! QR codes are posted outside the English and math teachers' doors.

All 10th grade students will complete English Language Arts End of Course practice test on Wednesday, October 18 and on Thursday, October 19. Please see rosters posted around campus for your  testing location.

Students, are you interested in writing or art? Do you like drawing? Do you like writing short stories or longer fiction pieces? How about poetry or songs? Maybe even something not listed or you're creative and just don’t know where to start? Stop by Ms. Williams's room (727) on October 18 at 7:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. and ask about joining the Authors and Artists Club: a relatively new club interested in helping you improve your creative ability or encourage those who don’t know where to start.

Attention 10th grade and Dr. Simpson’s advisement groups. Sophomore will meet Thursday for advisement in the cafeteria. Dr. Simpson’s advisement group will meet in the Media Center.

Attention students: Central High School will be offering an SAT prep class beginning next week. Tuesday and Thursday, 7:25 a.m., math study, in Ms. Cole's room 408, and Wednesday, 3:40 p.m., vocab study, in Mrs. Trumble's room 633.


Get Up and Move Central- Students if  you are serious about your health and would like some nutrition advice, an exercise coach and a motivational partner to help you make a lifestyle change come join us for our 5 week program. The program will start the week of October 16 and continue until Thanksgiving Break. We will have six (6) spots available per session. The second session will begin after Christmas break. Please stop by and see Mrs. Duffey in the Main Office to sign up.

Softball plays in the first round of playoffs tonight in Lion Valley. Come out and support our state champions!!
