The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Attention Male Homecoming Cheerleaders: Uniforms need to be return Mrs. Cowart in room 735 no later than Thursday!

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to Central High School band member Brody Wilson for being selected to the GMEA All-District Jazz Band and for passing the first round audition for the All-State Jazz Band! Brody is the first student in the history of the Central band program to earn such an honor. Congratulations Brody and Go Pride Go!

NEW NEWS

The fall chorus concert will take place TONIGHT at the Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. The concert is free, so please come support our chorus program!

Students, are you interested in writing or art? Do you like drawing? Do you like writing short stories or longer fiction pieces? How about poetry or songs? Maybe even something not listed or you're creative and just don’t know where to start? Stop by Ms. Williams's room (727) on October 18 at 7:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. and ask about joining the Authors and Artists Club: a relatively new club interested in helping you improve your creative ability or encourage those who don’t know where to start.

All Boys Soccer Players that have not tuned in BBQ tickets need to come see Coach Townson ASAP.

Attention 10th grade and Dr. Simpson’s advisement groups. Sophomore will meet Thursday for advisement in the cafeteria. Dr. Simpson’s advisement group will meet in the Media Center.

Attention students: Central High School will be offering an SAT prep class beginning next week. Tuesday and Thursday, 7:25 a.m., math study, in Ms. Cole's room 408, and Wednesday, 3:40 p.m., vocab study, in Mrs. Trumble's room 633.

Sophomores will take the PSAT tomorrow in the old gym starting at the beginning of 1st period. Students will report directly to the gym that morning. Students can see seating locations by checking the rosters posted around campus. Seating is based on your last name. Juniors who signed up to take the PSAT will report to the TLC 1st period.

Get Up and Move Central- Students if  you are serious about your health and would like some nutrition advice, an exercise coach and a motivational partner to help you make a lifestyle change come join us for our 5 week program. The program will start the week of October 16 and continue until Thanksgiving Break. We will have six (6) spots available per session. The second session will begin after Christmas break. Please stop by and see Mrs. Duffey in the Main Office to sign up.

Now is the time to pay prom dues.  Juniors, dues are $100 and will increase October 12.  You may pay Ms. Eady, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Trumble.

Today are picture retakes take place on the 600 hall until 11:30 a.m. Volleyball begins the area tournament today! Good luck!
