The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Attention Sweethearts and Homecoming Court members, you will report to the stadium at 1:45 p.m. TODAY for a rehearsal. If you are not on campus during this time, you MUST check in with Ms. Eidson.


Today’s first big shout out goes to the class officers and student council members who supported American Pie spirit night. Thank you to their families and friends who came out and a special Lion spirit night thank you to our football players and cheerleaders for participating in this event!

Our second shout out to the girls cross country team for placing 1st and the guys team for placing 2nd at yesterday's cross country meet. Madeline Potts and Abby Cook led the pack placing 1st and 3rd overall for the girls and Nick Potts led the guys by getting fourth overall. Great job Coach Horsley and team!


Our Homecoming theme for tomorrow is Home Away from Homecoming:  Come dressed in your class's tourist destination theme:  Freshman: Mexico,  Sophomores: Mardi Gras, Juniors: African Safari, & Seniors: Hawaii.

Get Up and Move Central- Students if  you are serious about your health and would like some nutrition advice, an exercise coach and a motivational partner to help you make a lifestyle change come join us for our 5 week program. The program will start the week of October 16 and continue until Thanksgiving Break. We will have six (6) spots available per session. The second session will begin after Christmas break. Please stop by and see Mrs. Duffey in the Main Office to sign up.

Students, picture retakes are Tuesday, October 10, from 8:00-11:30. Students who were absent will have an appointment time; you will receive an appointment card by this Friday. Students who are unhappy with their pictures from the first picture day can sign up for an appointment in room 626. If you purchased your pictures, you must bring your original package with you in order to have retakes. Faculty members who missed the first picture day should have their pictures taken at 8:00 a.m.


Basketball cheerleading paperwork must be turned in by Friday, October 6 to Ms. Jordan in room 403. Tryouts will be held October 10-12.

Now is the time to pay prom dues.  Juniors, dues are $100 and will increase October 12.  You may pay Ms. Eady, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Trumble.

Seniors are invited to join the Guidance Office Google Classroom to access information about college visits, scholarships, transcripts, and more.  The access code is:  olbpbuz

Tomorrow is our Homecoming parade followed by the Knockerball and Powder Puff games in the stadium. Stay after school and support your favorite class teams in Lion Valley!
