The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

In honor of Anti-bullying Week we will be reading a historic quote each day. Today’s quote comes from William James, “Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create that fact.” Abraham Lincoln said, “I would rather be a little nobody, than to be an evil somebody.”

Attention Sweethearts and Homecoming Court members, you will report to the stadium at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4 for a rehearsal. If you are not on campus during this time, you MUST check in with Ms. Eidson.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Lady Lions Volleyball Team for beating Sandy Creek 2-1 and LaGrange 2-0. This is the first time in the history of Lions volleyball that the team has beat Sandy Creek! Congratulations Ladies!


Knockerball permission slip forms are due TODAY! Bring your form to Ms. Cowart in room 735 or you can drop it by the Media Center.

Remember bring the family and friends for a fun night at American Pie.  Show support for SC's Spirit Night from 5 - 9pm. Cheerleaders and Football players will be there from 6:30 - 7:30.  LET’S GO LIONS!

If you signed up to be a male cheerleader, please see Mrs. Cowart between lunch today and lunch on Thursday to pick-up cheerleading items and directions for Thursday's Powder Puff Game.

Get ready to show Lion Pride on day 3 of Homecoming Week! Come dressed like Way Back When vs Out of this World. Dress in futuristic or decade attire for yearbook and website pictures!

Students who signed up to take the Spanish Test Out exam must report to Ms. Beverly's room, 140, Thursday at the beginning of 5th period.


Basketball cheerleading paperwork must be turned in by Friday, October 6 to Ms. Jordan in room 403. Tryouts will be held October 10-12.

Now is the time to pay prom dues.  Juniors, dues are $100 and will increase October 12.  You may pay Ms. Eady, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Trumble.

Our Lady Lions Softball Team travels to Chapel Hill for the Region title game tonight! Senior parents have a meeting in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. and volleyball plays at home celebrating senior night. It’s a busy day in Lion Valley! Come out and support our students!

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, we are one community, one family, and one pride. Keep it rolling and keep it clean!
