The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Our second big shout out goes to the Central High School Softball Team for smashing Sandy Creek last night 14-0 in 4 innings. The Lions tallied up 14 hits in the 4 innings of play. Great job ladies and Coach McKenna!

Our third shout out goes to the varsity and JV volleyballs teams for crushing Haralson County and Adairsville with 2-0 scores! Great job ladies!!

Our final shout out today goes to Ms. Monica Smith and the Yearbook staff for not only running a smooth picture day, but for getting pictures back to students ASAP! Great job Yearbook!!

NEW NEWS

Attention students: Monday, October 2 is World Day of Bullying Prevention. We are asking everyone to wear blue, even with their Homecoming dress up day outfit, in support of : CHS is calling all students to wear blue - and you can work this into your Homecoming outfit!

Any student interested in being on the Central High School Shotgun Team  should plan to attend a meeting in the Media Center at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Art Club will meet after school today until 4:30. Remember to bring Club dues.

Anyone wanting to try out for basketball cheerleading needs to stop by room 403 to sign up and  pick up paperwork this week. Tryouts will be held October 10-12.

There will be an ISDS/International Club meeting after school at 3:45 in Mrs. Monica Smith's room. If you cannot attend this meeting, plan to attend the meeting at 7:45 tomorrow morning in Mrs. Kuzy Jenkins's room. Check your Remind 101 feed for an agenda tomorrow.

Attention Seniors: There will be an important meeting for you and your parents on Tuesday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Graduation dates and deadlines will be discussed. If your parents are unable to attend, all information will be posted under Seniors 2018 in the Clubs and Organization section of the school website. Senior dues of $100 may be paid to Ms. Sandy Duffey in the front office. She will record your height and weight for graduation gown orders, as well as your tee shirt size for alumni tee shirts.

Now is the time to pay prom dues.  Juniors, dues are $100 and will increase October 12.  You may pay Ms. Eady, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Trumble.

Attention 11th grade students: You are encouraged to sign up to take the PSAT October 11 to receive college scholarships and to help prepare for the SAT. The cost to take the PSAT is $16.00. Please bring this in cash or check form to Mrs. Dixon in the Guidance Office when you sign up. Students must sign up by Friday. If you may be interested in a fee waiver, please visit Ms. Zerr, room 708, before signing up.
