The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Central Lions Football Team for winning the first home game of the season 42-7 against Landmark Christian. Congratulations Coach Smiley and team!

Our second big shout out goes to the newly elected Key Club officers. Thank you to all those students that ran for a position. Congratulations to Katie Thompson - President, Sandy Wilson - Vice President, Hannah Royals - Secretary, Riley Mitchell - Treasurer, and Abigail Sadler - Social Representative. Ms. Bowen is looking forward to a great year.

Our third big shout out goes to Zoe’e White for creating cluster icons for the new library inventory program called Destiny. Zoe’e’s cluster icons will appear throughout the county on pages used by teachers and students as Destiny is opened for use. Thanks for your hard work and creative style Zoe!

Our final shout out of the morning goes to Sam Tolbert! Sam is the winner of the Central Student Night Basket. Please see Mrs. Duffey to claim your prize.


Swim Team sign-ups will begin on Tuesday, September 5. Information will be available in the main office next week. If you have been on the swim team before, email Coach Bush if you plan to swim again this year!

Seniors are invited to join the Guidance Office Google Classroom to access information about college visits, scholarships, transcripts, and more.  The access code is:  olbpbuz

Attention students! Yearbooks are now officially on sale. They are $75, which includes a nameplate on the front cover. Yearbooks will increase to $85 on September 16th. We will sell books during lunch on September 5-7 and September 12-14. You can also see Mrs. Monica Smith in room 626. You can even order online at Order yours today!

Students, the newly formed Authors' and Artists' Club will have its’ first meetings tomorrow morning and afternoon at 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. in Ms. Thornton’s room 625. The first meetings will be to assess interest, elect a sweetheart to represent the club for Homecoming, and discuss producing a magazine at the end of the year.

Attention students, the Carroll County Schools Move On When Ready night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5 at the Performing Arts Center from 7:00-8:00 a.m. All students and their parents are invited.


The Central Cluster will host it’s Celebration Night tomorrow at the Performing Arts Center at 6:00 p.m. The celebration is open to the public, please plan to attend. Softball plays at Bowdon tonight at 5:00 p.m. and tomorrow night at home at 5:00 p.m. Come out and support our Central Lions!

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, we are one community, one family, and one pride. Keep it rolling and keep it clean!
