The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

A big Central Lion welcome to Carroll County Media Specialists meeting in the computer lab today. It’s your “Destiny” to have a roaring Friday!

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the Central High School varsity and JV volleyball teams for clobbering South Paulding and Temple last night. The ladies stomped both teams with big 2-0 victories! Great job Lady Lions!

Our second shout out goes to the Lady Lions Softball Team for beating Heard County last night 7-1. Faith Bennett, Abbey Cook, and Lucy Grace McKenzie lead the way offensively for the Lions. Shirley Sharp pitched and complete game only allowing 3 hits. Great job ladies.

NEW NEWS

Central High School is selling $4.00 student tickets to Central Lion students ONLY! One ticket per student and only a Central High School student can use the ticket at the gate.

Swim Team sign-ups will begin on Tuesday, September 5. Information will be available in the main office next week. If you have been on the swim team before, email Coach Bush if you plan to swim again this year!

Students, the newly formed Authors' and Artists' Club will have its’ first meetings next Tuesday morning and afternoon at 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. in Ms. Thornton’s room 625. Anyone interested in expressing themselves through the arts, particularly in writing or visual arts, should attend. This group will put out a creative arts magazine sometime in the spring. The first meetings will be to assess interest and elect a sweetheart to represent the club for Homecoming.

FFA will be hosting a community service day this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 no0n. Anyone interested in participating should register on Google Classroom or see an Ag teacher for more information by tomorrow, Wednesday, August 23. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Attention students, the Carroll County Schools Move On When Ready night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5 at the Performing Arts Center from 7:00-8:00 a.m. All students and their parents are invited.

 

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, we are one community, one family, and one pride. Keep it rolling and keep it clean!
