The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.


The Central High School FFA Land Judging Career Development Event kicked off last Thursday with the West Georgia Soil and Water Conservation hosting the third annual county competition between Heard, Haralson, and Carroll County School systems. A huge shout out to the 1st place Senior land judging team for keeping the title for the second year in a row. The team consists of Nick Montalto, Cooper Reichiert, Victoria Richardson, and Drew Carroll. Nick Montalto was the top individual in the senior division and was awarded $40. Way to go Nick!! The junior competitors, Gilverto Galvan, Macie Wright, Brodie Montalto, Alexis Nalley, and JJ Wheat received 2nd place team award against all of the area schools. Great job FFA!!

Our second shout out goes to the Lady Lions Softball team for sweeping the mound with Villa Rica winning 14-7. The JV team also put a win in the column 9-8. Great job ladies!


Central students can purchase game tickets for half price $4 in the Main Office on Thursday and Friday before school, after school and during lunch. There will be several special visitor tents set up at the game on Friday night. Students, makes plans to attend the game and stop by at least five (5) of the tents, get them to sign your game ticket, and turn it into Mrs. Duffey at the Main gate by the end of the 3rd quarter. Your ticket will be entered into a drawing to win a special CHS student basket. Some of the vendors on hand will be Chick fil a, American Pie, the U.S. ARMY, Carroll County Explorers, Southern Hills Church, Mt. Pleasant, Central High School’s FCA, and West Georgia Technical College. Chick-Fil-A will give one lucky student a chance to kick a field goal between the 1st and 2nd quarter of the game. If you make the field goal, you will receive dinner for four (4) at the Carrollton Chick-Fil-A. Sign up to kick the field goal when you purchase your ticket.

Attention National Honor Society inductees and members: There will be a mandatory meeting in Mrs. Fountain's room on Thursday, August 24 at 7:30 a.m. and Friday, August 25th at 3:30 p.m. Plan to attend one of these important meetings.

FFA will be hosting a community service day this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 no0n. Anyone interested in participating should register on Google Classroom or see an Ag teacher for more information by tomorrow, Wednesday, August 23. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Students interested in joining the Academic Team should come by and see Mr. Horsley on the 700 hall or Ms. Kuzy-Jenkins on the 100 hall. The first meeting this Wednesday immediately after school in room 719.


Key Club will have their first meeting Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Monica Smith’s classroom 626. All students interested in joining Key Club should plan to attend.

Teachers and students, the next Blood Drive at Central High School is Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Please sign-up with Nurse Startup to be a part of this life saving opportunity. You must be 16 years of age or older. All donors will receive a free tee shirt!

Attention students: An FBLA interest meeting will be held TOMORROW at 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The morning meeting will be held in room 141 and afternoon meeting will be held in room 607. See Mrs. Hall or Mr. Vick for more information or to pick up membership forms.

Attention students, the Carroll County Schools Move On When Ready night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5 at the Performing Arts Center from 7:00-8:00 a.m. All students and their parents are invited.

Students, Balfour will be on campus tomorrow to deliver rings and letter jackets.


Softball and volleyball play at home tonight at 5:00 p.m. Plan to stay after school and support our Central teams.
