The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.

Solar Eclipse Day! Teachers, please make sure to pick up your eclipse glasses and review viewing safety tips with your 6th period class before heading to the stadium. Please read Mr. Griffis email regarding release time to the stadium and extended class times for both 6th and 7th periods.


Our big shout out goes to Central Lions Cross Country Team for performing great this weekend. Nick Potts medaled fourth overall in the varsity guys race, Summer Ligion, Madeline Potts, and Abbey Cook also medaled in the top ten overall in the varsity girls race. Congrats to Trent Madden, Logan Huff, and John Azulara for medaling in the JV race. Great job teams!!


Key Club will have their first meeting Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Monica Smith’s classroom 626. All students interested in joining Key Club should plan to attend.

Teachers and students, the next Blood Drive at Central High School is Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Please sign-up with Nurse Startup to be a part of this life saving opportunity. You must be 16 years of age or older. All donors will receive a free tee shirt!

Attention students: An FBLA interest meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The morning meeting will be held in room 141 and afternoon meeting will be held in room 607. See Mrs. Hall or Mr. Vick for more information or to pick up membership forms.

There will be  a Beta Club meeting in Mrs. Beverly's room tomorrow at 7:40 a.m. Please plan to attend!

Attention students, the Carroll County Schools Move On When Ready night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5 at the Performing Arts Center from 7:00-8:00 a.m. All students and their parents are invited.

Students, Balfour will be on campus Wednesday to deliver rings and letter jackets.


Softball plays at home tonight at 5:45 p.m. and the athletic booster club meeting will be in the fieldhouse at 8:00 p.m.

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, we are one community, one family, and one pride. Keep it rolling and keep it clean!
