Attention Students: Email check out requests will no longer be accepted in the front office. All check out notes will have to be handwritten from parents, or the parent must come into Student Services to sign the student out.
Attention Seniors: If you have outstanding fee balances with a club or organization, or owe money for lost books or materials, please make payments by May 1.
Attention Southwire tour students: You must wear closed toed shoes to the tour tomorrow!! Report to first period for attendance and then meet at 8:40 a.m. in the cafeteria for the trip.
Today’s big shout out goes to the girls tennis team for beating West Hall County in the first round of state playoffs. The girls made it to the sweet 16! Wins came from Emily Justice, Elle Jones, Katie Schmittou, Madison Spruell, Erin Lewis, Anya Dunn, and Anna Carnes.
Our second shout out goes to Jamarcus Strange for winning the Region Triple Jump at the region track meet. Congratulations!
Our third shout out goes to girls soccer for beating Hiram 4-1. Goals were scored by Sydney Powell, Janae Jackson, Summer Ligon and Camille Heath. Great job ladies!
Our fourth shout out goes to men's soccer for defeating Hiram 5 to 2 yesterday. Jorge Lopez had 2 goals, Jarrod Jackson 1 goal, christian Potts 1 goal and Nick Potts 1 goal. Will McJurry had 3 assists. Great job men!
The first Miss Leonine Meeting is today after school in the band room. If you are interested in participating in Miss Leonine make sure to attend. We are giving out numerous awards this year, including two picture sessions with photographer Amber Eason! Stop by the band room for more information!
The following students need to see Linda Morris in the Media Center today, regarding Junior Marshal participation.
Attention Students - Next year, we will offer several Move On When Ready courses through West Georgia Technical College on our campus. 1st semester, we will offer ENG 1101 and Economics. 2nd semester, we will offer ENG 1102 and Political Science (Government). This allows you to earn high school and college credit at the same time without having to drive off campus. If interested, please sign up in the guidance office to receive more information about participating in this opportunity.
Reminder, anyone interested in running cross country next year should go by Coach Horsley’s room 719 at the end of the day today.
Attention NHS members, There will be a meeting Thursday afternoon after school and Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. in Mrs. Fountain's room. Please make plans to attend one of these meetings.
Key Club will meet Wednesday at 3:30 and Thursday at 7:50 in Ms. Bowen's room. Every key club member needs to attend one of these meetings.
Students interested in playing softball next year need to stop by and see Coach McKenna in the old gym. Pick up a physical form and have it on file for tryouts.
FFA members- Remember to stop by for an application to be an officer for next year and scholarship opportunities! All due Friday.
All athletes must have a physical on file to participate in 2017-2018. Free physicals will be given Thursday, April 20. Have your completed physical form in hand and meet in the Walker Gym after school that Thursday.
