The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.


Today’s big shout out goes to girls soccer for beating New Manchester 7-2. Summer Ligon scored 2, Grace Heath scored 2, and Janae Jackson, Camille Heath and Madeline Potts scored 1 goal each. Great job ladies!


Students interested in playing softball next year need to stop by and see Coach McKenna in the old gym. Pick up a physical form and have it on file for tryouts.

Ladies, don't forget to turn in your Miss Leonine registrations in the band room by Monday. We have added several more awards this year including prettiest hair, and prettiest dress! Pick up registration packets in the band room or front office!

Fall Guard auditions are Monday in the old gym. Be sure you have your signed permission form turned in when audition camp begins at 4:00 p.m.


Any current FBLA member interested in becoming an FBLA Officer for the 2017-2018 school year needs to stop by and see Mrs. Hall this week.

Attention Seniors: Anyone interested in participating in a Southwire and West Georgia Technical College tour on Thursday, April 20, sign up in the guidance office and pick up permission slip forms. All forms are due to the guidance office by Tuesday, April 18.

Students taking an AP exam that signed up for the April 14 pre-administration session or who have not yet attended a session this week MUST report to the Media Center during 7th period.

FFA members- Remember to stop by for an application to be an officer for next year and scholarship opportunities! All due April 21.

All athletes must have a physical on file to participate in 2017-2018. Free physicals will be given on Thursday, April 20. Have your completed physical form in hand and meet in the Walker Gym after school that Thursday.

Color Guard tryouts will be held April 17-20. If you are interested please pick up the registration packets in the Band Room. No experience needed just good attitudes and a fabulous work ethic.


Varsity baseball plays tonight at Troup County. Make the short drive and support our Lions!

And let’s remember Central Lions, keep our campus clean and it’s time to rise and roar!
