The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.


Today’s big shout out goes to girls soccer for running over Temple 10-0! Lion super stars were Summer Ligon with 2 goals, Hannah Echols with 2 goals, Madeline Potts, Camille Heath, Janae Jackson, Grace Heath, Anna Farmer and Maia Delgado with one goal each, and Elizabeth Poncela and Merideth Johnson combined for the shutout. Great job Coach Hart and team!

Our second shout out goes to boys soccer for winning their third match in a row with a 10 to 0 victory over Temple High School. Jorge Lopez led the way with 3 goals and two assists. Christian Potts had 2 goals. Jarrod Jackson 1 goal and 4 assists. Kelvin, Ricky Vaughn, Nick Potts, and Micah Cochran each scored 1 goal.


Wednesday morning:

All students taking an AP exam that signed up for the April 12 pre-administration session should report to the Media Center today during 3rd pd.

Friday morning:

All students taking an AP exam that signed up for the April 14 pre-administration session or who have not yet attended a session this week MUST report to the Media Center today during 7th pd.

Students in the Work-Based Learning classes will NOT meet on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Students will resume regular class meetings Thursday, April 20.


Color Guard tryouts will be held April 17-20. If you are interested please pick up the registration packets in the Band Room. No experience needed just good attitudes and a fabulous work ethic.

Attention ladies! The 2017 Miss Leonine Pageant is getting close and registration packets are due one week from today! This year's Miss Leonine promises to be better than ever with several prizes awarded, including 2 individual picture session packages! Stop but the band room or front office to pick up your packet today.

Any senior who has not taken an admissions test to attend West Georgia Technical College this fall should report to the Guidance Office to sign up for the ACCUPLACER.  This test is free and will be administered on Thursday, April 13 in the Media Center Computer Lab.  Please go by the Guidance Office to register before noon on April 10.


Baseball plays at home tonight against Cedartown. Come out and support our Lions!
