The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.
Teachers -- Please check dress code and ask students to get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors.
Attention Seniors--The deadline to pay senior dues is noon on Friday, March 17. Please pay Ms. Duffey in the front office or see Linda Morris in the Media Center.
All prom goers must fill out a prom form. The deadline to turn in forms is March 17.
The first shout out goes to the boys' track team for placing 2nd in the Lion Invitational on Saturday. The Lions beat Villa Rica, Mt. Zion and Coretta Scott King. Great Lions!!
The second shout out goes to the boys and girls tennis teams for competing at LaGrange over the weekend. The boys tennis team placed 5th and the girls placed 3rd in the Granger Tennis Tournament. Wins for the girls came from Katie Schmittou, Madison Spruell, Anya Dunn, Erin Lewis, Emily Justice, Elle Jones, Meredith Head, and Anna Carnes. For the boys came from Griffin Thomas, Bailey Lewis, Dalton Lewis, Lance Crawford, Andrew Stewart, Ethan Caldwell, Landon Schulenburg, and Drew Smith.
Our third shout out goes to men’s soccer for defeating Chapel Hill 4 to 0 Friday. Micah Cochran, Jay Yoder, Christian Potts and Jarrod Jackson each scored a goal. Justin Rice and Levi Cochran split time in goal for the shutout. Great job Lions!
The following students need to see Ms. Herring today, Pherrin Lowery, Natalie Blanton, and Cole Hodges.
Attention 9-11 grade students: 2nd notices for course registration for 2017-18 are going home today during 7th period for those students that did not return the original form. Signed forms are due no later than Friday, March 17th in order to ensure your course preferences. If you do not have a 7th period, please come to the guidance office to pick up your notice.
Attention MOWR Students: A representative from University of West Georgia will be on campus TODAY to register students for summer and fall semesters. Any student currently participating in the MOWR program at University of West Georgia should stop by the Guidance Office today to pick up a registration appointment time.
The following juniors need to attend a meeting this Thursday, March 16 at 7:45 a.m. in the Media Center. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please stop by the Media Center and see Linda Morris for meeting details.
Calling all ladies! Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 29 and get ready to smile! The Central High School Miss Leonine Pageant will be held at Roopville Road Baptist Church in the gym. See Mr. Ruby in the band room for registration and information.
Concert and symphonic band is traveling to LGPE in Rome this week. JV baseball plays Villa Rica at home tonight, tennis is at home against LaGrange and Bowdon. Good luck bands and teams! Come out and support our Central Lions!
