Central High School FFA Sophomore Receives $1000 Scholarship

Central High School sophomore and FFA student, Charlee Causey, was recognized at the Georgia Association of Conservation District 1 Supervisor Training. Charlee is the first Central High School sophomore to be awarded a $1,000 West Georgia Conservation District scholarship.

Charlee attended the 2019 Natural Resources Conservation Workshop (NRCW) held annually at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia. The workshop allows students to take part in lectures and hands-on activities to boost their knowledge of Georgia’s vital natural resources. The workshop also provides students with a taste of college life while delivering valuable insight into agriculture and natural resources careers.

Charlee is a member of the Central High School FFA and has participated in land judging, public speaking, and livestock evaluation teams. She has aspirations to enter the field of Agricultural Communications.

Central High School Agriculture teachers and FFA advisors are Ms. Laura Williford and Ms. Nikhol Dysart.
