Central High School Honors 2019 Hall of Fame Inductees

Central High School honored the 2019 Hall of Fame inductees during a special ceremony before Friday night’s football game. New members to the Hall of Fame are Cedric Jackson, Alison Jiles, Denise Walker, and Chuck Harman.

Cedric Jackson graduated from Central High School in 1997. During his tenure as a Central Lion he played football, basketball, and ran track. Cedric was a 4-year varsity letterman in football and basketball. He was a member of the 1996-97 final four basketball team. Cedric graduated from Albany State University where he was a 3-year starter for the Golden Rams Football Team. He currently serves as the Head Football Coach for New Manchester High School.

Alison Jiles is a 2013 graduate of Central High School. Alison played catcher for the Central Lions Softball Team. She was named an all-area player for four (4) years and was a member of the All-Region team for three (3) years. Alison completed her high school career with a Region Championship and 3rd place finish in the state tournament. She set the school record for the most RBIs in a single season. Alison graduated with a 4.2 grade point average and accepted an academic scholarship to attend LaGrange College, where she played softball for the Panthers.

Denise Walker spent her entire teaching career serving the students of Central High School. In 1996 she was selected by her peers as Central High School’s Teacher of the Year. Denise was Science Department Chair and helped coach numerous athletic teams including cheerleading, volleyball, and softball. Denise worked tirelessly to support all Central High School programs.

Chuck Harman is a 1981 graduate of Central High School where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and tennis. Chuck was an all-county basketball player and has served in various positions with the Central High School Athletic Booster Club.
