Central High School Literary Region Champions

Central High School’s Literary Team swept the competition for a tie-breaking region champion win. Students were led with first place finishes in both chorus and essay competitions. Carolina Butler won 1st place for her narrative essay, Victoria Richardson won 1st place for her rhetorical essay and Brant Entrekin earned 1st place for his domestic extemporaneous speech.

Tristan Jones earned 2nd place in boys’ solo and the boys’ quartet of Will Godbee, Joshawa Arnell, Elijah Green and Nolan Crane took 1st place. Central High School’s Literary Team is coached by Chorus teacher Ms. Ruthie Phillips and English teacher Mr. Jamie Biddle. Winning students will travel to Warner Robins for state competition March 17.
