Central High School FBLA Sweeps Region Competition

Central High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter swept region competition beating Cobb, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson, Heard, Paulding, Polk, and Carroll counties to win the Region Sweepstakes trophy for an unprecedented sixth (6) out of the last seven (7) years.

FBLA students competed in more than 35 events, resulting in 19 students advancing to state competition. Students heading to Atlanta in March are Olivia Hall, Sydney Wiggins, and Madison Spruell in Business Calculations; Anna Handley in Business Communications and Economics; Abigail McWhorter and Marie Thompson in Business Communications; Carolina Butler in Economics; Brant Entrekin in Economics and Public Speaking; Anna Carnes, Isabella Herring, and Kate DuFour in Introduction to Business Communications; Naomi Norbraten in Introduction to Business Communications and Introduction to Public Speaking; Heidi Anderson and Elizabeth Haney in Introduction to Financial Math; Christian Putman in Introduction to Financial Math and Word Processing; Alyssa Phillips in Personal Finance; and the team of Samuel Eidson, Andrew Stewart, and Drew Smith advance in Business Ethics.

Mrs. Sarah Hall is the Central High School FBLA Advisor and she is assisted by Dr. Dwayne Vick.
