Central High School junior, Carolina Butler, brought home a 1st place award for her personal narrative essay in State Literary Competition. Carolina wrote an emotional story about a young man, passing away before he had a chance to experience life. “People like reading emotional stories,” said Carolina. She continued, “The judges remembered my piece because it tugged at their heartstrings.”

Mr. Jamie Biddle is Carolina’s 11th grade English teacher and Central High School’s literary coach.
