Sydney Blunschi Named Central High School’s STAR Student

Sydney Blunschi, a senior, has been named Central High School’s 2017 PAGE STAR Student. The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia’s highest achieving high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic development. To obtain the STAR nomination, high school seniors must have the highest score on any single test date of the three-part SAT taken through the November test date of their senior year and be in the top 10% or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average.

Ms. Blunschi named Mrs. Susan Horton Secord, her gifted teacher at Roopville Elementary School, as her PAGE STAR Teacher. Mrs. Secord taught Sydney for three (3) years while she was in first through third grades.

Sydney has been accepted into Middle Tennessee University and plans to earn her degree in Audio Engineering. Following her tenure at Middle Tennessee Sydney would like to work in the recording industry.
